The Prime Minister is following up on the latest developments in the session on "regulating markets and a more effective social protection system".
Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting today to follow up on the latest developments of the session on "Regulating Markets and a More Effective Social Protection System," as part of the ongoing preparations for the "Egypt 2026 Forum," which is scheduled to begin tomorrow and run until October 24 in the new capital.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, stressed that the meeting comes within the framework of following up on the latest developments in preparing for the session on “Regulating Markets and a More Effective Social Protection System” within the activities of the “Egypt 2026 Forum”, given the importance of this file and its direct connection to the state’s efforts to improve the quality of life of citizens and enhance social stability, stressing the government’s keenness to continue developing the social protection system, and enhancing integration between government policies and programs, in a way that contributes to meeting the basic needs of citizens, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources, and reaching the most vulnerable groups.
During the meeting, the main themes of the session were reviewed, ensuring that the various dimensions of community protection and security were addressed, highlighting the state’s efforts in strengthening the social protection system, supporting food security, and achieving integration between government policies and programs, in order to contribute to the efficient allocation of available resources and improve the standard of living of citizens.
The meeting also reviewed the government’s efforts to ensure the availability of basic commodities in appropriate quantities, the regularity of their supply, and the strengthening of market stability, through continuous monitoring of stock levels, intensifying control over markets and sales outlets, and addressing monopolistic practices and attempts to manipulate prices, in order to protect consumer rights and contribute to easing the living burdens on citizens.
The meeting also addressed the objectives of the next phase and the mechanisms for developing related programs and initiatives, while emphasizing the importance of highlighting the results achieved and the existing challenges, in order to enhance the efficiency of government performance, raise the level of response to the needs of the targeted groups, and support the state’s efforts in consolidating community protection and security.
